well, here is the video.
McCain actually did look annoyed. imo, he doesn't respond well when under pressure and of course a question has arisen: would he have called Hilary Clinton "That one". I think he would have but she would have responded promptly and put him in his place. she prob would have embarrassed him right then and there. that;s the kind of woman she seems to be.
McCain sounded really terrible when he called Obama "That one?". hmm..well, there have been various discussions and persons believe it probably isn't offensive but simply depends on the lense through which you are looking. Obama did not even flinch but of course remained calm and composed.
From what I've seen in this debate, the polls are right. Obama has won this debate.
My Personal Character descriptions:
Obama: composed and confident
McCain: impatient and arrogant
McCain should be careful, he can say whatever he likes about voting about this bill and that bill. but the fact remains, if McCain wins he will reiterate more of the Bush Policies which have frankly put us into this mess.
I'll outline the proposals a little.
1. Deregulation
McCain has called for more deregulation in the past and now he's covering up. He has always maintained that Wall Street has the ability to regulate itself. so why not deregulation now? instead, the government interference is vital and a bailout plan ensues.
Obama maintians that he has written several letters before the crisis warning about the negative effects of allowing self regulation in Wall Street. In any case, these letters came after a few banks had already closed down.
2. The Health Care Plan
Here are both policies
a) McCain promises to give a $5000 credit so that citizens can have the option of purchasing their health care. this means persons will be able to shop around and will do their own research about which health care plan will be more suitable for them. Thus persons can purchase their health care from another state etc. So the government will therefore have a hands off approach. sounds like a reiteration of deregulation.
b)Obama asserts that the current plan is worth $12,000 and he promises that pre-existing health problems will also be covered. He also asserts that McCain's health plan is provided by the federal government and is therefore worth far more. so why should he encourage citizens to opt for a health care plan not provided by government and worth less. He also adds that simple services such as mamograms will not be covered in McCain's health care plan. The critics agree that this could happen.
c) The Doctor says: neither health plan will work efficiently because the health sector stands to make too much money in health care. seems like deregulation accross the board. The doctor claimes that first the government needs to monitor the kinds of profits drug companies are making and the cost of basic provisions.
3)foreclosure/The economic crisis
Neither candidate has put forth well structured plans imo. but here they are..
a)McCain promises that those facing foreclure will be compensated by the government who will buy mortgage securities at a cost of 300 billion dollars so that htose facing foreclosure can purchase home loans. it is unclear whether the U.S. economy can withstand such a promise. And now he's asking for a regulation od Wall Street. uh huh.
b) Obama instead wants to
give the government the authority to purchase mortgages directly instead of simply mortgage-backed securities. (source:

and also wants to regulate Wall Street. They are both claiming that monitoring the situation will be best. (Track records, oh the track records!) I can only believe the promise of one candidate.
btw, check out these pictures of Sarah Palin.
I am happy to see a woman in the race. I feel kind of proud and inspired. even if it is Sarah Palin.
Anywho, these pictures were funny regardless.
( sarah palin? wow...(in my best selena gomez voice) )
